Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse - Jameson Point, Maine
A breakwater was built from Jameson Point out into the bay from 1881 to 1899 to protect shipping from nor'easters. The builders kept a temporary light hanging on the end of the breakwater as it grew to warn shipping.
